With Pittsford up 11-7 at the top of the fourth quarter but starting with 5:08 left in the game, Penfield scored four unanswered goals to tie the game at 11-11 with 2:11 left. With 2:04 left in overtime, senior attackman Sam Cummings scored the game-winner with an assist from Jake Fox. Cummings ended the game with 4g and senior midfielder Chris Smith added 3g-2a. John Richiusa gave the Patriots lots of ball time as he won 23/27 faceoffs. Pittsford senior attackman Harrison Cross led scoring with 2g-2a and junior James Cook added 3g for the Panthers (2-2) who will play R-H on Wednesday. This was only the second time in history that the Wildcats had defeated the Eagles (the last time was 2012). Herod was demonstrative in the game and finished with 2g-3a. For Wayne, Nate Michel was equally as impressive with 3g-2a. The Wildcats increased to 4-0 on the season with Wayne recording their first loss (2-1). Both see action again tomorrow with Wayne facing Mynderse and Marcus Whitman facing Gananda. |

The Blue Devils held a four goal lead late in the third before Marcus Whitman started a 5 out of 6 goal stretch to tie the game at 9-9 halfway through the fourth. The Wildcats had a six goals stretch to the end the third and start the fourth quarter. The streak took them to a three goal lead with just under six minutes remaining in regulation. The Pride fought back and scored three goals of their own before regulation expired. However, it was Kyle Murphy who scored the game winning goal for the Wildcats in overtime. |

In Class B, Churchville-Chili avenged an earlier loss by beating Spencerport 7-5. Brighton and Canandagigua had no difficulty with their lower seeds by beating Brockport and Gates Chili. Ryan Lambert, who led Livona-Avon with 6g-1a, recorded his lone assist on the overtime goal. Livonia-Avon controlled the majority of the first three quarters before the Wildcats fought back in the fourth to take their first lead of the game with 6:01 remaining in regulation. |
